The control point for agentic AI
Every AI tool call, checked at the rim.
RimSift sits between your AI agents and the tools and models they use. It checks who is asking, enforces your policy, inspects every call and keeps a complete record, so your teams can use AI without losing control.
The problem
Agents connect. Then nobody watches.
Your teams are already wiring AI agents into email, code, customer records and internal systems. Most security tools decide whether an agent may connect, then stop looking. What the agent does next, which tool it calls, what data leaves and whether someone slipped it an instruction, goes unchecked.
Block AI
People use it anyway, on personal accounts you can't see.
Allow it
You approve the tool once and have no idea what it does after.
Review everything by hand
Your team becomes the bottleneck and still misses the calls that matter.
There's a better option: check every call, automatically.
The platform
One control point. Four checks on every call.
Identity
Every call is tied to a real person and the agent acting for them. Tools see the user, not a shared service account.
- Works with your existing identity provider
- Per-user access to each tool
- No raw API keys on laptops
| Person | Acting through | Tool | Seen by tool as |
|---|---|---|---|
| Anna K. | Coding agent | github.create_issue | anna.k |
| Tom R. | Sales assistant | crm.read_account | tom.r |
| Priya S. | Finance agent | erp.read_invoice | priya.s |

Governance
Nothing runs unless your policy allows it, and the policy is checked on every call, not once at sign-off.
- Default-deny tool access
- Different tool sets for each team
- Approval step for risky actions
| Tool | Access | Rule |
|---|---|---|
crm.read_account | Allowed | All sales staff |
crm.export_contacts | Blocked | Default deny |
email.send | Approval | External recipients |
files.delete | Blocked | Default deny |

Inspection
Calls and results are checked for hidden instructions, changed tools and sensitive data on its way out.
- Prompt-injection detection
- Alerts when an approved tool changes
- Masks or blocks sensitive data
| Check | Finding | Verdict |
|---|---|---|
| Tool result | Hidden instruction found in web page | Blocked |
| Tool definition | docs.search changed since approval | Held |
| Outgoing prompt | Customer email addresses masked | Allowed |

Audit
A complete, searchable record of what every agent did, for whom and why.
- Every call logged with its verdict
- Sends to your SIEM
- Evidence ready for auditors
| Time | Person / agent | Tool | Verdict |
|---|---|---|---|
| 14:02:27 | Tom R. / Sales assistant | crm.export_contacts | Blocked |
| 14:02:22 | Priya S. / Finance agent | payments.create_transfer | Approval |
| 14:02:18 | Anna K. / Coding agent | slack.post_message | Allowed |

How it works
Point your agents at RimSift. Everything else stays the same.
Connect
Route your AI agents, MCP servers and models through RimSift. No change to the tools themselves.
Set policy
Choose which teams can use which tools, and what needs approval.
See and control
Every call is checked live. Safe calls carry on; risky ones are stopped or held for approval.
| Time | User | Agent | Tool | Verdict |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 14:02:31 | Anna K. | Coding agent | github.create_issue | Allowed |
| 14:02:29 | Tom R. | Sales assistant | crm.read_account | Allowed |
| 14:02:27 | Tom R. | Sales assistant | crm.export_contacts | Blocked |
| 14:02:22 | Priya S. | Finance agent | payments.create_transfer | Approval needed |
| 14:02:18 | Anna K. | Coding agent | slack.post_message | Allowed |

Why RimSift
Eight gaps today's tools leave open.
Nobody watching the agent
Approved agents act with no one checking each call.
02Tools that change after approval
A tool's description is rewritten and the agent follows it.
03Hidden instructions
Text inside a document or web page tells the agent what to do.
04Harmless steps, harmful total
Each action looks fine; together they leak data.
05Human or agent?
Logs can't show who really did what.
06Shadow AI
Staff paste company data into AI tools you never approved.
07Data walking out
Sensitive data leaves inside a prompt or tool call.
08No proof for auditors
No record of what the AI did, or why.
Where it runs
Wherever your agents work.
Hosted gateway
For AI apps and remote MCP servers.
Workstation
For coding agents and local tools on laptops.
Browser
For ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Copilot on the web.
One policy, three places, one audit trail.
Sovereignty
Your data stays where you decide.
Run RimSift in the UK, the EU or inside your own cloud. Prompts and tool data are inspected in the region you choose, and nothing is sent to a third-party service for checking.
Is RimSift just an MCP gateway?
No. A gateway routes traffic. RimSift also checks identity, enforces per-tool policy, inspects calls and results, and covers browser and laptop use, not only hosted agents.
How is this different from DLP or SASE?
Those tools see network traffic or files. RimSift understands AI tool calls themselves: which tool, which action, which arguments, for which user. It can work alongside your existing data-loss tools.
Does it slow agents down?
RimSift runs in-line and is built for low added delay.
Where does our data go?
Inspection runs in the region you choose: UK, EU or your own cloud. Prompts and tool data are not sent to third-party services for checking.
